Out of the clear blue sky, I can't play movies

Hello. Really very sick of this. I’m not good with computers so that’s why I paid for the lifetime sub to this program. I can’t find a good answer to this. My ability to watch movies stopped when the update happened. So I found a solution with the pre-roll removed in the settings. When I went there I was not allowed access for some stupid reason. Found an answer to that. Apparently I use regedit to get access again. So, after figuring out how to do that exactly I change the setting by reclaiming my network or whatever. Now I have the same issue. Now I use regedit to look to gain access to my settings. I see that the youtube link is still removed but I can’t load my Movie libraries-any of them… Worked fine 2 days ago, now I don’t even see the folder names at all. Even on desktop it says unexpected error visit forums. Tv plays shows play fine with not so much as a hiccup.
Has a better solution been found besides reverting back to a previous version of Plex? Because I can’t find a way to do that easily. Also, has there been a formal place to complain yet? Or is there an alternative server application I can use? Hate to just piss away $100 but this is stupid and my daughter is very unhappy that she can’t watch her favorite movie.
If anyone can help thank you very much. Please be reminded though that I have little computer skills, so anything advanced needs to be explained thoroughly as I don’t understand the verbage that is thrown around like it’s common knowledge.
And please no holier than though rant about being unhappy with a service I paid money for. Thank you for your time.

I found a fantastic solution! Doesn’t require a computer PhD. If you have Roku like I do, you can use the Roku media player in combination with the Windows media player and everything works fine. The UI sucks but at least you can access your movies. Helped me with a young daughter who doesn’t get that I can’t play the movie even though it’s still on the hard drive. Hoping this issue can be resolved before we take any sort of vacation/road trip. :unamused:
