apologies for bad spelling - can't find the edit topic button :)

anyone from plex care to explain at least what conditions must be met for these padlocks to be shown?

Did you check your Xbox Live account privacy settings? From what I've read, it seems if you have your privacy settings restricting you, this can happen. Be sure and set your account to Adult and see if it works. Also would appreciate and update from you if it does.

It is because there is an Xbox One account with an age restriction and the option selected to hide content for the guide, store and apps. Either log the user out who has the restriction or change it. The option to hide the content is what seems to be culprit. Doesn't look like the Plex app plays nice with the parental controls yet.

Aaaah of course, thanks this explains it completely - thanks

Not a problem. I just hope the parental controls work with Plex when it is officially released to the public.

So i ran into this issue as well and figured out that i needed to uncheck the "Hide content for...", which then allowed the posters to show up. However, i left the age restrictions alone (currently restricts movies to PG, TV to PG) and i expected that even though i could now see the posters when my son's account was also logged in, when i tried to play some content that was rated PG-13, it would not allow it or at least would pop up and ask whether it was ok to play this content this time or always (the way the bluray player app works on xbox). To my dismay, it played it without prompting so i think that could definitely be improved from a parental control respect.
