In my library I have different languages of movies, with automatically added meta. I was wondering why my child is not able to see some movies which are rated for his age.
After some research I saw, that all movies having a rating like “[language]/G” (e.g. “tr/G”) will not show up, but if I remove the “tr/” and just leave “G” in rating, it will show up for my child.
It seems like the filter for rating does not understand the automatically added ratings by different languages.
You might got me wrong.
if I look into the meta data of a movie, there are automatically added ratings like tr/10A or tr/G. I did not put them in there and I don’t need language specific ratings.
Only if I edit them manually and remove the “tr/” part, the rating is processed correctly by the Plex Parental Control. Otherwise movies with the “tr/” in ratings will not show up.
I dont know if there’s any specific syntax (standardized or not), but a solution could be on the plex side to ignore the first part (“tr/”) before and including the “/” of the rating. Otherwise I have to edit every rating and remove the “tr/” part manually. Which should not be the way it should be.
