Where does Plex gets its TV rating from?

Hi all,

Quick question, as the title says, where does Plex gets its TV rating from?

The reason I ask is that I have one particular movie for my kids that does not appear in their profile, they have the Younger Kid parental controls selected.

But the thing is, it is an AL (Dutch rating for ‘approved for all ages’) movie, so there should not be an issue right?

I am keen to fix this as I like the accounts to be seperate. Also, I cant seem to find where Plex had put the rating that it is using.

Any advice?

Are you talking about a series in your personal media library, or one that is available for free (with advertising) on Plex’s library or streaming channels?

Sorry, I was not clear. It is indeed a movie from my own collection in my own library.

The rating should be immediately visible and editable when you edit the movie in question.
If you overwrite the “AL” with a “G”, does the film become available?

Can you give me a hint where the AL or G should be located?

Using Plex Web, edit the movie/show using the pencil icon. Along with Title, Sort Title, etc. there is a Content Rating field.

This was crucial! Thanks I needed this!

The rating was empty! Changed it to G and it worked!!

Thanks all!
