I consume content both in Spanish and in English. I currently share it as a single library but my content is split into different libraries: Spanish movies, Original version movies (in English) and Dual movies (both in original version and dubbed to Spanish).
My library is set to display both titles and metadata in English. I tried to use original title feature, but many movies original title was completely different. For example, “Mindscape (2013)” would become “Anna (2013)” and several Japanese and Korean movies were just impossible to search for.
I think it would be nice to be able to choose, for the same library, the language used for each of the folders. That way I could use the Spanish title for the Spanish folder and the English title otherwise. My alternative at the moment is to manually edit the metadata for each individual Spanish movie, which isn’t ideal
There’s an existing feature suggestion asking for this option. I suggestion you comment/vote in that thread in order to avoid distracting/dispersing votes (and attention).
Since it’s now so much easier to change the metadata language of an item, I’ve since removed my own vote from that thread (just thought I mention that as I’m the OP of the other thread ) – though I can see where you’re coming from.
You can set the language of the metadata for each library separately.
If you convert the library to use the new “Plex Movie” agent, you can additionally select per-movie
