I have a movies library and i want to take the plot in Greek language but everything else in English.
So it would be nice to select in script witch language for metadata.
Another problem is that because it takes the genre in Greek, but not all movies have Greek language genre i have them all duplicate… Comedy and Κωμωδια Drama and Drama etc. [mod-edit: duplicate; see below]
So TL:DR

select language for Title: Instead of Use Original Title → option for language
Genre → option for language
Plot → option for language

Just to clarify I understand your suggestion correctly:
You’re looking for an option to pick / override the metadata language of an item individually for different fields?

As for the genre normalization… there’s already an existing suggestion thread discussing this. Please focus this thread on the main topic to avoid distracting votes (that’s one of the reasons why the feature suggestion guidelines ask to stick with 1 suggestion per thread)

I would like to have a separate language for Title and Descriptions for a couple of reasons.
Being non English (Swedish) family members prefer to have all the Descriptions in Swedish, however, the titles are usually preferred in English as we are so influenced by English that most day to day discussions the English titles are used and its also what is being marketed.

At the moment we have the Titles set to use the Original title, which creates a whole set of other issues, all foreign movies (Korean etc.) are unreadable.

Also, when searching for a movie, we search for the English title but no matches are given due to using the Original title (Korean as an example) and the search dousent match the result to the library.

Memories of Murder as below, is not marked as a title available in the library.

Any chance we can have the ability to select English Titles and Swedish Descriptions for the Metadata agent?

I Understand this might not be a problem for native English people but for the rest of the world it is and I´m surprised it hasn’t come up earlier. Any suggestions or workarounds are welcome.
