Permanent endpoint url to download latest version of app

There are many app files like APK which is available for download via Forum. However, if Plex can provide an url which re-directs to download latest app file then it would be great instead of visiting Forums all the time, scrolling and then getting the latest file link.

Example: On Github we can use something like https://www.github.com/<user>/<repo>/releases/latest to get the latest release page. In the same way maybe we can get the latest version of file itself for Plex? Maybe something like https://downloads.plex.tv/<device>/<architech>/latest

My usecase: I frequently update app manually on my FireTV and Android, and getting url all the time from forum isn’t idle, if there is fixed url then I can use that instead.

It gets to the thread’s last page, which surely reduces few steps but not complete solution imo and idea is also to skip visiting forum altogether.

When PMS checks for updates, there’s a URL that provides a list of available releases.

I’m sure the clients do the same. Watch the client logs or enable a proxy server to observe the URLs.
