Yesterday I was having problems streaming a file and when I went to optimize the database it said there was an error, when I tried to empty the trash the same thing happened. I tried to empty the individual library trashes and got the same error. The only thing I’ve done or changed on my computer was an update… of course, but I really don’t know how to fix what seems to be a permissions problem when I didn’t change anything to start with. Any help would be great as all the information the subject is pretty old and not much help.
I did the power management for the ethernet, but I’m not having any of the other problems. It randomly worked this morning, but the trash still failed before it worked.
Sorry, I meant you should perform the steps in the exact post I was linking to.
Here they are again:
- activate debug logging (not ‘verbose’!)
- quit Plex Server
- wait 1 minute
- start Plex Server
- wait 5 minutes
- fetch log files and attach them here
Or inspect them yourself. Take a look at the Plex Media Server.log file and seek for messages about database corrupt or malformed.
If you find these, you may have to repair your database.
