I love the Skip Ads feature but it’s only useful if you see it right away before it disappears during the commercial break.
This feature would be more useful if the button would remain visible during the commercials so that it can be used at any time to skip not just at the beginning of the commercial segment.
Seconded.
Also would be better if we could have the option to set how many seconds before where plex thinks the advertisements start, we want the skip option to appear on screen. So it can be clicked as soon as the adverts start in reality. Sometimes at the moment it can take several seconds into the advert break for the option to appear, by which time I am already manually fast forwarding.
Personally I would be happy to have it discreetly in the corner of the screen a couple of minutes before it thinks the adverts are going to start, so I can have the remote in hand, ready to jump forward the instant the adverts start.
There is a really nice implementation on Android TV, where pausing brings up robust on-screen controls including the ‘Skip Ads’ button. Please add this to Apple TV (and whatever other platforms don’t yet have it).
Also, please add another option to automatically skip detected commercials. Plex commercial detection is really good, and this would make the viewing experience much more enjoyable. Thanks!
Yes, would really like to see this. Or alternatively at least a setting for how long the button lasts. As it stands, I’m not always fast enough to click the button before it disappears, so I find myself frequently rewinding 10 seconds and rewatching a few seconds of content to make the button re-appear so I can click it.
