I’m watching a series and it keeps switching to English PGS subs, that wouldn’t be a problem if the subtitles wouldn’t be so huge I can only see the first line (which is at the bottom of the screen). Second line falls completely off the screen
Do PGS subtitles always have a fixed size and position? Or is there anything I can do to fix this?
PGS are image based subtitles. They’re supposed „fit“ the content they belong to.
I’ve seen some posts in the past where users had added „better quality“ versions to their media that produced this result (e.g. PGS subtitles authored for 1080p added to a 720p file). The same could happen if you’re watching media with the original PGS on some cropped video or with the image distorted/zoomed.
TL;DR: this should be quite rare and require some manual messing with the underlying files.
