When loading videos that need transcoding the tv app crashes and restarts, the issue doesn’t happen when using mobile app or web app.

would love to fix this issue with the android tv client, sinds the latest version I have regular crashes.

Same problem here…I think I have tried all possible configurations and nothing.
Sometimes it works well the day after.

Adding useless features(discovery, watchlist, streaming services etc), removing useful ones like photo backup.
Not providing any support!!! or even a response on their support forums.
Even famous YouTubers are withdrawing their endorsement.
Wakeup Plex inc.!! you are starting to lose your original customer base and support, for now I’ll have to start using Jellyfin that just works like it should without crashing. Maybe I’ll comeback if you can refocus on your core business a Home Multimedia Service for personal media and also listen to your paying clients.
