I never knew there is no such feature for an app like plex. We cannot ask all people to login to plex. Also when we share with people, everyone do not like to login to see someone else photo. So best way is create share link for a specific folder in photo library and share the link to others.
Can Plex please create this feature ? Its a basic requirement
I agree with the request. Another use example would be to enable use of a photo in a blog or other web application. For example, If I take a picture of a new recipe I’ve prepared and want to share that recipe on a forum, website, newsgroup, facebook, etc, I should be able to do so.
I might also want to share the photo, via Plex, with family or friends without creating an account for them.
The application of this would be relatively simple by setting a public/private flag with the default being private. The url to the image is already being used to display the image in Plex.
Photos/albums are a differentiator of Plex vs. other tools. Sharing them in the home, and also via a simple link w/o registration would be fantastic.
