Have the same issue on a pixel 2 xl. Version 8 of Android app loads timeline, but will not open photo/video when tapped. Other phone with 7.31 opens then fine
Same issue on OnePlus 6T, Android 10, latest beta server build.
Workaround: if I just hit the play button in timeline view it will start playing the photos, etc…so it just seems to be some UI bug.
Bump, confirmed the issue on both the latest stable 8.0.1.17410 and beta 8.0.1.17411. This seems to be just an issue with Version 8, as this feature works properly after downgrading to an APK of Version 7.31. I have tested three different phones on Android OS 9 and 10 and see the same thing, works fine on version 7.31 but doesn’t work on version 8+.
The workaround of starting with the play button isn’t too useful as it forces you to scroll back from the most recent photo instead of starting viewing from anywhere in the timeline.
With the latest server build (1.19.3.2793) and Android build (8.1.0.17650) the photo issue has resolved itself for me (OnePlus 6T, Android 10).
It’s fixed for me on the 8.1.0.17650 beta as well. Hopefully the fix gets pushed to the stable build soon too!
Mine is doing this as well, touch the image in timeline view or library view and it does nothing. Library view allows clicking the three buttons and play, but timeline doesn’t allow viewing at all. Any word on when the 8.1 would be pushing out if that fixes it?
