Anyone experiencing crashes/freezes in iOS with photos using the latest beta build? If I select “Timeline” view from my largest Photo Library (43062 photos, 166gb), the client locks up. If I exit to the iOS Home Screen and go back to Plex, a crash log dialog is presented… I’ve submitted a few of these. Curious if this is an isolated case or if others are experiencing the problem. Timeline view via Plex Web is fine. All other views with Plex iOS client seem fine for my large library. Timeline view works for smaller libraries…
A couple new betas have been released through TestFlight but this problem still persists. I’ll continue submitting Crash Reports on my iOS device… but this feels hopeless. Does anyone actually acknowledge or read any of these bug reports?!
Thanks for raising this. Sorry no one has got back to you, but this has been raised with the relevant team and as far as I’m aware has been fixed.
Unfortunatley that fix isn’t going to make the 8.15 release, but it will most likely make the following one. If you’re on the TestFlight betas then should go into beta in around a week. If you still see issues on the next beta then please let us know.
Thanks for the response! I’ll continue testing each beta via TestFlight (latest iOS, iPhone 12 Pro Max + recent iPad) and confirm in this thread if and when I see the crashes resolved. Appreciate the attention to this - I’m a heavy user of Plex Photos
