I turned on the photo/video uploading both on my Nexus 6p and my wife’s moto G. Both of them freeze after a few photos. The images keep rotating in the circle, but no process is made. I then updated to the latest Plex Server version, but that did not help.
Can you try and start an upload and then grab the Plex Media Server log file and post it here.
Details on how to go about this: https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/201643703
I let it run for several minutes, then downloaded the logs. When I went to do this, I noticed there was another update, so I updated to version 1.1.3.2700, but still no go.

Thanks for the logs, it shows that it’s failing because Plex cannot write to the destination folder:
Sep 01, 2016 09:40:51.866 [0x7f78523fe700] ERROR - Exception handled: boost::filesystem::copy_file: Permission denied: "/tmp/Plex/Upload/1014947/ca190444504469d1-com-plexapp-android/4/2016-08-20 12.00.52.jpg.inProgress", "/media/Storage/Pictures/2016/2016-08-20 12.00.52.jpg"
Ensure that Plex can write to the destination and then try again.
Also, I have it installed on Ubuntu 16.04
What user or group does plex use?

That worked perfectly, thanks!! This features solves a big issue. Namely, backing up my phone pics without using third party storage.
I just wish you allowed pictures and videos to go into separate directories. Be really nice if a directory structure was maintained based on date taken and/or location.
