We use Plex to dispay a selection of travel photos. Is there anyway to manage the display order – for example “random” – rather than just by the file name ??
If so – could someone point me in the right direction to activate/manage.

Use a playlist. Which in the case of photos might be called an “album” in some client types.

We already have our photo collection - some 65Gb in total - categorized and filed in Folders by Date and Key topic - for example a travel location. We also have an annual “General” folder to cover off the remainder by year.
We have a “Screenshow” folder which has copies of selected images which we use to dispay via Plex MediaPlayer on our LG TV using the installed Web iOS software. The images in this folder are currently filed and display Alphabetically by File Name. What we were looking for is the ability to display these randomly (shuffled)
Yes I have checked and if if access the same folder using Plex via my local laptop/browser I get the “shuffle” option but that doesn’t seem to be enabled when accessed via Plex on the MediaPlayer on LG Web iOS.
Tricky one – but any thoughts.

Are you talking about the generic, DLNA-compatible player app on that TV?
Do you have a genuine “Plex” app on there as well?
Thanks for the reply. Believe so – we access the Plex server (on our network server) via the Media Player interface on the LG Web iOS.
Are you suggesting that there is potentially a Plex App that we can download and install on our LG OLED65G26LA TV ??? If possible that would make sense.

There should be one for the more modern LG TV devices.
