How can I order my photos?

Server Version#: 1.21.3.4021

Hi all,
Been using Plex with a full plexpass sub for a while now and have no problems getting my other local media (movies, music, TV series) in the libraries correctly and in the order I want. Just recently started adding my photos as I figure it’d be great to display slideshows of our past holidays etc on our TV and projector using the same system for everything else.

So I created a folder per album in the Photo library folder and exported my photos from Lightroom at the correct resolution for display with filenames in the format: albumname-01.jpg so when listed alphabetically in the folder they are in the correct order. When I refreshed the Photos library in Plex they came in to an ‘Album’ using the folder name - perfect! However the order of the photos is alphabetical by photo title in the EXIF data!?

So next I created a photo ‘Playlist’ by adding all the photos from an ‘Album’ to a new playlist but the only option I can see for changing the order is to drag and drop them.

Am I missing something? Surely there’s an easier way to get photos displaying in the correct order?

I don’t want to put ugly numbers at the front of all of the photo titles and I certainly don’t want to laboriously drag and drop the hundreds of photos in multiple ‘Playlists’ to get them in the correct order when all the relevant data is in the file name and/or metadata.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Go to your photos Library. Select Library at top (#1) and choose your display and sort options (#2)

Thanks for the quick response!

However:

That just seems to list the Albums (or the sub-folders in the main Photos library folder) but when I go into it it is still ordered by Title and the sort order option disappears:

Weirdly the photo that the album uses (the statue of the bull) is, in fact the first picture of the album, I guess that’s because it is still looking at the filenames at that point.
