Until recently, I had photos and videos starting in one single root. The Plex library was of the type “Photos”. Everything was working fine until the recent server upgrade. Now it does not allow videos to be played in folders of the type “Photos”. This issue happens only on iOS (iPhone and iPad). The web app works like always and plays both types of media from the folder type “Photos”. When I create a new library of the type “Videos” it plays the videos on all devices, but the photos are not visible. It is just simply convenient to keep the visual footage of an event in a single place. Could someone please shed light on what changed?
Yep same problem. I’ve posted this and got no response. There are multiple other threads and posts in the iOS app store too. This has been broken for a few updates with no responses from the Plex team yet.
