Picking up wrong series from TvDB

The 2019 series “A Confession” is being shown in PLex as an earlier 2011 series The Confession
I tried editing the name and dates etc but it keeps reverting to “The Confession”. The files are correctly named and in fact “A Confession” appears immediatley the files are added but it instantly changes to the older one The Confession. Is there some way I can force Plex to pick up the right details from tvdb - both series are listed there?

You should be able to overcome this issue by including the year the show first aired in your folder structure / file names:

TV Shows
  A Confession (2019)
    Season 01
      A Confession (2019) - s01e01.ext
      A Confession (2019) - s01e02.ext
      ...

However… it appears there’s also another show named Confession (without article)… so Plex might still get confused. If that happens you should click on Fix Match in the tv show context menu and pick the correct version

Thanks for pointing me to the “Fix Match” option which is in the right hand menu ( I had been looking in the left menu as that seemed more likely to deal with matching) It might never happen again but very useful to know.
