The peculiar thing about it is that the folder of my series is named
‘Edgar Wallace (1959) {tvdb-93301}’
and plex still matches it as tvdb-291175.
Manually fixing the match in the Web-UI using the name “Edgar Wallace” suggests to series:

but not
tvdb-93301 (the correct one)

Das Problem ist, dass es sich hier nicht um eine Serie im herkömmlichen Sinne handelt. Deshalb existiert die auch nicht auf edgar wallace — The Movie Database (TMDB) welches als eine Art “Master Liste” für Plex fungiert.
Die Filme findest du hier alle als Einzelfilme gelistet. Ebenso wie auf IMDb, übrigens.
Mein Vorschlag wäre, die in eine “Filme”-Mediathek zu verfrachten (passend benannt natürlich) und sie nachher zu einer “Edgar Wallace”-Sammlung zusammen zu fassen.
The issue is that this isn’t a tv show in its strict sense. That’s why it doesn’t appear as such on edgar wallace — The Movie Database (TMDB) which is serving as a kind of “master database” for Plex.
All those movies are appearing as regular, single movies on there – same as on IMDb, btw.
I propose that you move those movies over into a “Movies”-type of library (files named and organized as is suitable for movies, ofc).
Then you can later create an “Edgar Wallace”-Collection and add all of these movies into it.
