Picture-in-Picture not available on new Player?

Hi everyone. Using Plex on iOS.

I noticed Picture-in-Picture isn’t available on the new player; however, it’s available on the old player.

Is this intentional? Will the feature be enabled on the new player in a future release?

Isn’t it available? This is a screenshot from Plex on my iPhone w/ the new player.
The only complaint from other users I’m aware of is that there’s a minor stutter when you shift to PiP. This is because PiP uses Apple’s native player (given it’s an iOS feature) – so if the video cannot be direct played using Apple’s native player (while the new player does), your server will need to switch to transcoding the video which can give this visible one-time stutter.

I was simply swiping up and noticed the video would close out.

I noticed on my end, the video would just pause and I had to click on Play to resume. It didn’t continue on its own. small problem, but not a deal breaker.

pip is not working for me on ios 15.1
my server and player is also up-to-date.
the video just stops playing and nothing happens.

Is that a question or a statement?
Also… how is it not working (given the OPs topic had been resolved by finding/using the PIP button).

PIP doesn’t work with Live TV for me.

It works with other content, but Live TV stutters and then just stops.
