Server Version#: 1.41.7.9799 (DSM7)
Player Version#: PlexPhotos for Android (Mobile) 2025.0.1 (966828653), Plex Web Version 4.146.0
I can recreate the error in the moblie app and the web app.
Error Message mobile: “An error occured while trying to load a higher resolution”
Error Message web: “Unable to load photo”
It seems that for me most pictures taken with the iPhone 13 camera are showing the error. By default they are taken with a bit depth of 32.
For example some properties of problematic picture:
4032x3024px, 72dpi, 32 bit depth
2316x3088px, 72dpi, 32 bit depth
Pictrues taken with 24 bit depth (like pictures taken in the dark) seem to work, at least most of the time. At least I couldn’t find a picture that didn’t load.
2160x3840px, 72dpi, 24 bit depth
1980x3520px, 72 dpi, 24 bit depth
Is there any setting I can tune on the server to get these pictures with a bit depth of 32 to load? Or maybe the problem is something different than the bit depth and it is just a coincidence, is someone familiar with this behaviour?
