Pictures of Cast not loading

Hi,

Since earlier this week when I open a movie, the cast shows up on the bottom, but without pictures. What could be happening?

When I open Plex Media Player on my laptop, and I open a movie on the PMS on my computer, it works. When I switch to the PMS on my NAS Synology 418Play, the cast pictures don’t show up anymore.

Did you migrate any porition of the Windows installation to the Synology?

Hi,
The solution seemed very simple.

Aside from cast not loading, subtitles didn’t work either.

I did a few things:

  • I noticed in Synology the plex user’s permission were changed all of a sudden. So I set them to read + write again.
  • I noticed the agents section all of a sudden was scrambled, and some checkboxes ticked off. Very strange. I put them back to how they were supposed to.
  • I updated the PMS on Synology.

None of that fixed anything yet, but then I rebooted my Synology and now everything works again.
