Allow the admin to add a pin required flag to individual movies or libraries, this would make preventing kids to view inappropriate movies a lot easier, than having to use multiple userid’s.
Add field “required Pin” to movie properties and if set to <>0000 prompt for the pin before allowing play.
I’m a bit confused how assigning a PIN to potentially dozens or hundreds of items is supposed to be easier than setting up a Plex Home with accounts for your kids (where you could e.g. simply assign a restriction profile) – ignoring the fact that a single/shared account setup will mostly diminish certain features like viewstates or user ratings.
That being said, there’s an existing feature suggestion discussing an option to secure individual libraries with a PIN instead of using different accounts. I suggest you comment/vote in that thread in order to help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes.
Hi, I am a bit reluctant to add some of my films to my film collection, the other people watching with accounts are 18+, there is one film called Base Moi, which is illegal only in some countries, there is pornographic content on a couple of scenes. Basically, I do not want my parents watching it, although, I do not think a restricted folder is necessary. A restriction level for individual films would improve the ability of what boundries I can set on the account.
I agree with @kfitz199 … if your parents (or other users) can still see the item but not watch it … won’t it be easier to not share it to start with (e.g. applying a sharing label and blacklisting/hiding items with that label)?
