Hi. My Plex server was playing up last night. Playback was stop/starting every 10 seconds or so then a family member ran an update.
After countless tries to get my Apple tv to locate the library, it finally worked.
Playback is fine now but the quality of the video is very sloppy and slightly pixelated.
I’ve never had this before.
Picture quality has always been perfect on 720 and 1080 files.
I uninstalled the server and reinstalled.
Apple Tv finds everything but the pixelation is still there.
Can anyone please help ?

Apple TV App 7.24(1284)
All of my videos are being streamed at a lower rate (SD) even though they’re either 720P or 1080.
When I look at the the dashboard, I see this

Direct Play is enable on both the PMS and Apple TV app.
Scratching my head here.
Can someone please help.
Also, when I swipe down on the Apple TV while the file is playing, there is some extra detail.

Transcode reason: App cannot direct play this item. No direct play video profile exists for protocol http, with container mkv, and video codec h264.
Fixed it.
There were two entries in my firewall for Plex Media Server and only one was selected.
I checked the other and bingo.
