Plex app dosen’t support 4k on Xbox one.

Do you mean 4K natively ? As the Xbox can´t even give out a 4K signal at the moment … this wll take some time…
I haven´t tested it but I assume Plex should transcode videos down to 1080p which could be quiete hard on your system
DTS (HD) support isn´t available for 3rd party apps at the moment. This is again the “fault” of Microsoft and there is nothing PLEX can do about that until waiting for MS to allow it.
OK, I have to correct myself. Xbox One is seemingly capable of 4K playback according to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xbox_One

That means Xbox One can play 4K ^. At the moment Plex app dont support that?
I have Marvel Daredevil in 4k as mkv contain. On Samsung TV with plex i can play the video Direct stream.
but on Xbox One doesnt work. Movies 1080p are direct stream but the audio only ac3 transcode.
3rd party apps are apps not from Microsoft. So PLEX falls under that category.
Another point I remembered => 3rd party apps are not allowed to change resolution at the moment. So even if Xbox would support 4K, PLEX couldn´t use it.
The 4K situation is also a bit more complicated. I believe the Wikipedia article just refers to the hardware being basically 4K compatible. But I believe the OS does not even “know” this resolution.
Summarizing => Don´t count on Plex supporting it in the near future 
Thats the same problem with Netflix 4K. 
So i hope Microsoft work on it.
