Play items without an Internet Connection

I think this is one of the improvements most demanded by users that we have second homes with an unstable Internet conection (In my house on the beach I have to use Kodi several times)

You can do this already, you just need to choose what media to sync to the client and you are done!

This is a premium feature and exactly why I paid up…well worth it for this functionality alone

The server in my second house is a PC and my client is a PS4 (Without Sync). I have plexpass too.

just sync the content to a local source. It´s already possible.

You shouldn’t need to sync to another source, I have mine on a nas on the local network, when my internet has gone offline I cannot access the content through plex.

Well I think that the simplest is to allow the reproduction of MY videos and photos without having to be connected to the Internet. I think the EMBY (the Plex competition) does. I’m going to check that. If so and EMBY works correctly I will have to abandon PLEX and switch to KODI or EMBY.

The client is on the local network. The server is ALSO on the local network. WHY CAN NOT I ACCESS MY FILES?

Is it connected to the same router/switch? I have mine on a local network and can access it just fine with no internet connection. The only thing I couldn’t so was access it via Console (XBOX One) or Smart TV because those devices require internet to access anything. So that’s more of a device issue than a Plex issue.

Yes, both of them are in the same lan. I have four users in my plex (my family) and i can not access to my media without internet active.

Also some videos without the native codecs can’t play without internet. Would be nice if plex downloaded the correct codec and then stored it for offline use
