Man, I really don’t want to have to start over another time. I have the metadata set up on some other libraries like I want and I’m tried of having to remake the database q6 months. It’s annoying when it’s so easy to reproduce and simply unmatching the item fixes the issue
I’m still only able to play video from my Nvidia Shield or My android phone that I’ve installed an old version of the plex app. Is someone from plex working on this issue? Doesn’t make since how I can’t play video from my tv’s, macbook, or web browser. From what I’m noticing above, doing a free reinstall isn’t a guaranteed fix. Right?

well, I found out what my issue was. It had to do with the preroll/”Cinema Trailers to Play Before Movies” process. If I turn off watching “Cinema Trailers to Play Before Movies” for the player (currently testing the web player on firefox), the video loads fine. I had previously set it to two trailers to watch beforehand and it was working fine. If I select no trailers to play beforehand, the prerolls still work (will play one as expected).

Thanks, just switched off preroll and trailers and works.
will you send me instructions on how to send you debug file. I tried to create them and copy the text, but it gave me an error that it exceeded character limit
What I have seen work for me is when I get “AN ERROR OCCURRED LOADING ITEMS TO PLAY” is I back out to the previous menu, then I select the movie again and then I’ll be able to play it. I am getting a 2nd server in the near future (where I am installing WinServer 2025) on it, so for now I don’t want to mess with my Unraid setup anymore unless someone finds a verified fix for Plex on Unraid, which I have yet to see. It’s unfortunate that the PLEX people have not put forth a better effort into resolving this.

Any thoughts on what the issue is with the preroll trailers? It’s the trailer part of the preroll specificaly
I unfortunately don’t use preroll/trailers. I probably should so I can help support them. IIRC, there are some restrictions.
The support doc is pretty direct and clear.
Do you have server DEBUG logs for me?
I’ve also been having this issue for a few months now. I somehow stumbled upon using Infuse client on AppleTV, iOS, and iPadOS and connecting to my PMS. Infuse has had no issues playing any of my content, where plex clients (web, AppleTV, iOS, iPadOS) will not play anything.
I’m currently running PMS 1.42.2.10156 on my Synology NAS.
All Apple client OS’s are running the latest v 26 releases.
Line 873 is the error associated with downloading a trailer for the preroll. Later in the debug file I turned off trailers and transcoded a movie to show it was not an issue with the transcoding ability itself.
