Server; Qnap TVS-672XT - 8GB memory with HW Transcoding to 20Mbts, 1080p.
Dear all,
I’m trying to play some HVEC 4K movies over the internet and some play very smoothly while others are stuttering… But if I look at the CPU then this is jumping to max 40-50% so still enough room and also the memory is far from full.
– CPU this is strong enough.
– Memory is also enough (I know could be more, but when checking still enough left)
– Bandwidth is also enough, as we can have 40 Mbts (both upload as download) so running half of that.
At first I thought it was the size of the movie, but this can’t be it, as some are bigger and running smoothly while others are stuttering; Also did I thought that it would be the sound, but also here it doesn’t matter as some with Dolby Atmos and bigger size are also working smoothly while others again not.
Like this Angels & Demons is running very smoothly.
