Using a Sony Bravia Android TV Plex client, when turning DTS passthrough on and trying to play something with DTS playback fails. I then have to turn off DTS passthrough, play the file and let it transcode (by the way, for some reason it then also transcodes the video - no idea why).
Anyway, why won’t it play the DTS file? Any ideas?
Its the reason Sony pulled the latest update for Android TV. It broke a lot of passthrough/ARC situations. We are all waiting for their fix.

I doubt it has anything to do with that. I’m not using ARC and I’m not on Oreo yet, anyways.

Ok that’s actually helpful. Can you please grab logs and post them here? I will forward them along to the person whos been helping me diagnose a similar issue on my Sony TV.

I am having the same issue, I cant play TrueHD on plex, but directly on my sony (using the video ) i can play and the surrounds all working fine.
There is something messed up with plex.
When i switch off Passthrough it works fine,
but it transcodes.
did u find any fix?
