I know this isn’t a wide use case, but I was hoping perhaps it wouldn’t be difficult to implement support for switching to a different video stream (in the same file) like you can do with audio.
I’m a fan of drum and bugle corps and have a large collection of DVD’s and Blu-rays of the world championships. All of these shows come in Multi-Cam and High-Cam versions on the disc. I mux them together so both angles are available in the same file.
The audio is obviously exactly the same for both, so I have multiple video streams rather than audio. With VLC I can easily switch between the two video streams on the fly, but Plex only sees the stream I’ve set as default (Multi-Cam).
Could this possibly be implemented?
P.S. a TV-style library that has placements (1. or 1st, 2. or 2nd, etc.) instead of “S1E1” would be nice as well. I’m not watching episode 1, I’m watching the 1st place show from that year. This would also be useful for other judged contests like figure skating.
