Playback not working in browser

Hi there!

I’ve just signed up to Plex, but whatever I try to view on the browser from Plex content doesn’t play back; I get the background of the show on the browser, then a spinning orange disc and it goes no further.

Can you please advise what needs checking?

Windows 10 Version 21H1
Chrome browser, version 97.0.4692.71
Decent internet connection (>500Mbps)
Decent PC (AMD 3700x etc)

Put Chrome into its “incognito” mode and try again.
If it plays there, the failure is caused by one of your installed browser add-ins.

Thanks for the quick reply. Incognito does work, so probably my ad blocker causing the issue…

Those free movies are only made possible by showing ads. If you block the ads, there won’t be free movies.

I block everything by default, so not a problem for when I use Plex.
