I have a Samsung Chromebook that I been trying to get plex player to work on, without any luck so far. I open the plex app in Chrome browser (app.plex.tv…) and log into my windows server. Everything looks exactly as it should, all of the TV shows and Movies are shown exactly as they are on my Windows Desktop running Edge. However, when you click any of the play buttons (the right pointing arrow) nothing happens. It is highlighted, it appears to activate when clicked but nothing is opened. Seems that everything is working perfect but nothing plays. Is this not supposed to work or is there something I’m missing?
Works great on my end… do you have any add-ons / plugins in your Chrome browser that might interfere with Plex’ attempting to start the media playback?
Know of nothing that should be stopping any normal function from working. Just did a powerwash of it to get it back to factory and it downloaded a couple updates, everything else seems to work but I’m not a chromebook expert. Maybe I need to leave it set for a period of time and see if it is just slow to move the file over to the chromebook so it can play, only thing I can think of.
Plex no longer works with my MS Edge browser but if I sign in using Firefox (on the same PC) it works perfectly.
