Playback problems in IE11

Hey,

Figured I would try again to get some help here. I am having a new problem with plex not playing files in IE 11.
Im using win7 x64, although I don’t believe that is the source of my problem.

I can play the files in chrome, but IE11 no dice. Both .mkv and .avi files. The player tells me that streaming this media is unsupported.

Funny thing is, the particular files in question worked fine in IE11 a few days ago.

This sort of thing keeps coming up, and is really annoying.
Any help would be appreciated. I can try to retrieve logs to help if necessary.

There was a bug with IE11 playback which was only very recently fixed and should be released soon. The way this known issue manifested itself is that playback would not even start, you would not even get an error message, only a spinner in IE11.

When you say the player tells you ‘that streaming media is unsupported’ can you please provide a screenshot ?
