I have been experiencing strange playback problems this past week. when I playback dvr recordings through my Android TV devices(2 Nvidia Shield TVs and 2 Xiaomi Miboxes) I’m getting freezes, stuttering, scenes continually repeating(looping) and more. It doesn’t happen on all recordings, but many. I play these same recordings over the same network on my plex Android clients(phones) and I have no problem at all. I don’t even know where to begin with this issue. Anyone have some ideas?
The recordings also play perfectly on my chromebooks and pc via chrome browser.
It looks like if I change the image quality of the videos giving me problems to any setting other then “Original Quality”, the videos play perfectly. So what gives?

I played the same videos in Kodi with Plexconnect and the problem recordings were also a problem there.
I am having a similar problem with Plex in nvidia sheild. Seems to be HD channels with 5.1 sound. For example recording of Match of the day begins fine when playing minute or so off previous show and intro which is stereo but once Match of the day (Which is 5.1) starts it stutters and audio sound like a tape reel running slow. Hope someone has an answer to this. All other media in surround sound plays perfectly within plex.
