Hi, apologies if this already have been requested…
I usually listen to audiobooks and podcasts in 1.5x and 2.0x speed using the iBooks and Podcasts apps on my iPad. Now, it would be great if Plex player would also support the pitch-adjusted audio playback at faster (1.5x/2.0x/3.0x) and slower (0.75x/0.5x) speeds.
Once you realize that you can process the information faster (e.g. you can read faster than you can speak), it is hard to get back.
I, however, think that speeding up the audio and video are different - as speeding up video would require transcoding, while speeding up the audio would not, if the player can handle non standard sampling rates - also my emphasize is on speeding up the playback of synced local audiobooks.
I do not know exactly when it happened, but this feature was now implemented - I noticed today on my iPad and iPhone (version 4.26 - build 12851) and also in the webclient (version 3.37.2):
there is nothing in the release notes, so do not know, when this was changed, but nevertheless, I am happy!
Thanks to the dev team!
