Playback stopping randomly on AppleTV

Over the last several weeks, and happening more often the last few days, all of a sudden media randomly stops playing. I can’t start playback again without going back to the main menu. If I hit Play nothing happens otherwise.

I’ve updated the server software a few times to see if that would help but it doesn’t seem to have done anything.

It doesn’t seem to matter if it’s a show or a movie, new or old download, just randomly.
I have a brand new AppleTV, but it was happening before I got that too… so don’t think that has anything to do with it.

Anybody else having this happen? Know of a solution?

This has also been happening to me for about a week. It seems like plex is crashing during playback. My apple tv actually powers down. I have to restart it and it opens with plex frozen but after a few seconds it goes back to the home page. When I restart plex I see the plex logo animation like it has closed.
