I am having an issue where when I am playing synced videos on my iPhone. When I have them playing then make the phone go to sleep but still want to listen to it the video just stops. So I have to hit play again and I like to listen to my stuff when I drive so I don’t want to be looking down at my phone when I drive to just hit play. I am also having a problem where it doesn’t continue to the next track when the video ends. I have to open the app and hit play or next just for it to start the next video.
Phone: iPhone 7+
OS: IOS 11
Plex App Version: 4.18
Bump
(Got to love bumped posts)
Pretty sure this is by design and it’s the iPhone’s intentional behavior that Apple has specifically instructed it to do. I mean, if you’re turning the screen off you’re essentially saying “I’m done using my phone”, so of course you would have to restart it.
Is there any video app that doesn’t stop playing when you turn the screen off? None that I can think of.
Youtube(You need YouTubeRed), PlayerExtream, Music(Comes on the iPhone) play them when it goes to sleep.
Currently using version 4.27 of the Plex app on my iPhone 7+ and it is still doing this. Would love to see this fixed soon.
