Bug Report: Apps go to sleep when listening to audio / syncing

The following posts all relate to bugs where the plex app has gone to sleep or closed, while it is still performing a sync or playing audio.

This seems to affect multiple platforms and so perhaps needs to be accepted as a wider feature to be fixed across all devices.

Crappy Nappy® strikes again? Oh my.

It took a while - and several attempts - to fix Crappy Nappy® on AFTV and Fire Sticks, but it was eventually conquered. If it’s become more widespread this may take a while.

I seem to recall some issue with the screensaver when music was involved - a fiddle with the settings was a temporary work-around, but I can’t really remember what that work-around was. Searching for and investigating those threads and others may lead to the temporary or permanent cure. Sorry I can’t be more specific.

A blanket approach would be to make sure nothing you have is going to sleep (power saving features, the likely suspects). Beyond that it’s difficult to say.
