For whatever reason videos in a photo library don’t display the correct playback time. The videos always show 00:00 for the current and remaining playback time.
+1.
- The time is a problem as Media18 described.
- The progress bar doesn’t move and can’t be adjusted.
- The play button remains enabled but never changes to a pause button and clicking it restarts the video from the beginning.
- The skip forward/back buttons are disabled.
- The next/previous buttons are disabled.
So basically, no playback controls. Moving the same video to a different library, say “Movies” and the controls work again as expected. So the problem appears to be specific to video playback in the “Photos” library, again as Media18 mentioned.
This appears to be a recent change/bug. 3 of 3 iPhones/Apps were up to date and effected, but the un-updated iPad was not until it received the latest Plex update today. Now it too is effected.
Using the experimental enhanced video played doesn’t hurt or help.
Is this issue being looked at? Seems too serious to ignore.
Same issue here. We keep our vacation videos with vacation photos in a photo section and since the latest ATV (4k) update, it seems to have broken playing the videos in the photos section. Can’t “scrum” through the video. It either restarts the video, or crashes the app. Whereas before the ATV update, it played just fine. Hoping there’s an update on this. Does a ticket need to be opened?
Same issues here unfortunately.
The circle spins in the center of the screen like its trying to buffer the video. The video plays but you have no operative controls other than play/pause/stop.
Hopefully this is addressed soon!
