Player doesn't see Android device acting as a server

I have plex on android with some content synced to it. In its settings it is configured to act as a server. Using the Plex plugin with Kodi can see the device and browse content on it (though apparently that plugin is broken and cannot play content). But the Plex OSX app doesn’t show the device anywhere. Is this a bug?
