Player-in-player doesn't work on android

Using android 13 Google pixel 7.

PIP doesn’t seem to work. Any time I swipe to home in other apps e.g. YouTube, the PIP works but doesn’t work for Plex.

It is enabled in phone settings so I don’t know why it isn’t working?
