Player won't play music from library when casting

I’m trying to cast .mp3 files from my desktop computer thru the Plex Music Player on Chrome. Windows 10, 20H2, 64-bit.
The player works fine when playing thru the computer speakers directly, but won’t play (progress stays at 0:00) if casting to my home amplifier & speakers using Chromecast.
I can play streamed music thru CC, though. This has only popped up in the last 3-4 days or so. (?Windows update?) ?Any suggestions?
