Playlist trapped on android only?

Hi,
I have a playlist that i’m pretty sure I created on my android phone, and then downlaoded the song to the device. The playlist only appears on my phone in the ‘downloaded media’ section of plexamp and isn’t anywhere on my PMS or other plexamp clients.

Is there anyway I can get the playlist off my device and onto PMS so i can share it on other devices without casting (and back it up)

I might be totally missing something here, but can’t seem to sort this out without rebuilding the playlist.

Sound like you downloaded a station or radio. Those show up as downloaded item but aren’t dedicated playlists (hence they’re not added as playlist).

I’m not aware of a way to create a playlist from such a downloaded item.

I’m pretty sure it was a playlist that i created on the device and not a radio or station as it was the playlist from my wedding reception - I definately made that list of songs one by one :slight_smile:
It doesn’t appear as a playlist on my phone, only as a group of songs in the downlaoded section, the same as an album does.

Are you using the same user account on both devices?
I just tested this … playlists I’m creating in Plexamp will also show up on my server.

That’s not a thing you can do, playlists live on the server and only from there can they be downloaded.

Maybe I’m forgetting where I created the playlist, it must have been sever side - but I must have deleted it after downloded a local copy to my android phone?
Would the physical files stay on my phone in the downloaded section even after deleting the playlist from the server (which i may well have done accidentally a while ago)?

There is no indication on the server of this playlist existing.
It is not listed as a play list on my phone.
It only exists as a hand-picked collection of songs in the downloaded tab of plexamp on my phone with the name ‘wedding’

The physical files would stay on your phone even if the playlist itself was deleted.

The wedding was in April last year, which would explain how I have forgotten how i created the playlist, then deleted it from the server :slight_smile:

Looks like I will be rebuilding it from scratch so I can hold onto it forever (provided I back up the PMS and remember to migrate data properly in the future)
