Part of the reason I loved Plex so much was because of the playlists. On Apple TV, they’re barely useable anymore. Not only do playlists not autoplay titles in the order of the playlist, instead reverting to show order (Reddit - Dive into anything), now, presumably because of some bug in an update, they don’t even have the indicator dots next to titles you haven’t watched yet. I have playlists with over 100 titles in them, and without the indicator dots, I can’t easily scroll to the point where I left off.
The playlists were one of my favorite features of Plex. They’ve been malfunctioning for months with no fixes in sight, and now they’ve somehow gotten even worse!

I am having the same issue with Playlist. For example, I have a playlist of Halloween/creepy episodes of tv shows and I have them sorted by the tv show.
In the past if I wanted to start the playlist from the first Roseanne Halloween episode and then automatically continue the playlist order (playing the rest of the Roseanne Halloween episodes.) I would hold down the select button of the episode I wanted to start with and then press play.
(I select and play Roseanne s02e07 from the playlist and then it would play Roseanne s03e07, s04e06, etc.)
Now if I do that, instead of Plex playing the next episode on the playlist, it plays the next episode of that TV show.
(I select and play Roseanne s02e07 from the playlist and then it would play Roseanne s02e08, s02e09, s02e10, etc.)
This only seems to be on tvOS. My iPad and iPhone will continue playing the items next in the playlist. I’ve notice that on those devices it creates a queue. I do not notice that on the Apple TV.
I hope this bug gets fixed soon. Otherwise I would need to create a separate playlist just for the Roseanne Halloween episodes if I just wanted to watch those Halloween episodes.
Thanks tom80H, I went and tried using the play/pause button too as you suggested and that did work for me.
I thought I had tried that earlier but realized I tried that on my NVIDIA shield on not my Apple TV.
I appreciate your comment.
