Ple Media Server Log in

Hello, long time plex user and just recently (maybe the last few months) on my Host Server when I click the system tray icon to look at my library every time it asks me for a log in info.

Why?

if its the server that’s hosting plex shouldn’t it already know my log in info?

Is it a setting that I need to adjust?

Is it something to do with Internet Explorer?

Any help with this would be great.

Are you using some “privacy enhancing” software like CCleaner or did you set your web browser to forget all cookies and erase caches when you close it?

If so, make it so that cookies and ‘local storage’ data for the domains

  • plex.tv
  • plex.info
  • 127.0.0.1 (when on the same computer as the server)
  • local (private) IP of your plex server

is retained.
