Hi Plex team,
First off, huge thanks for all the work you’ve put into Plexamp—it’s easily my favorite music player in the car and out. I’ve subscribed for as long as my memory serves and I continue to rave about your software to anyone who will listen to me.
I have a feature request that I think would be really useful for folks who use Plexamp in their car:
Would it be possible to add a setting that prevents the screen from turning off automatically while Plexamp is running AND the device is plugged in/charging?
The reason: When I’m driving, I often want to keep Plexamp visible so I can easily see and control what’s playing without constantly unlocking my phone. Right now, I either have to change my phone’s global screen timeout (which isn’t ideal), or deal with the phone locking.
Having a Plexamp-specific option (something like “Keep screen awake while charging”) would make the driving experience much smoother and safer without requiring users to adjust system-wide settings.
