“Continue Watching” used to be in a the top the Home tab, but in the current version of Plex Sever and tvOS that has disappeared.
Since I mainly use a remote server to watch movies and series in Plex, I now have to scroll down to “More…” and then click on the Library to see this section. Because this is the overview of the included subfolders Plex does allow me to pin that to the sidebar as only sub folders can be pinned.
So please bring “Continue Watching” back to the home tab or implement the option to pin a source to the main sidebar.
I use none the apps you mentioned, so I do not know if that makes any difference.
I use Plex Media Server on my Mac and the regular Plex app on my Apple TV.
On both of them continue watching is no longer shown in Home tab. It only shows three sections now:
Available On Your Services
Tending Trailers
Trending On Your Services
I could share a screenshot, if this forum supports that.
Those are categories from the Discover source, not the Home tab. As long as your own libraries are pinned to your sidebar, continue watching should still be on the Home tab, and you can fine-tune what gets shown via Manage Recommendations.
My mother’s Plex Player one Roku has this same issue.
I had to talk her through manually pinning - TV? to her Home Screen.
I can’t remember if it was TV or another collection, but after adding it, Continue Watching reappeared on her Home Screen.
THANK YOU!
The “Manage Recommendations” link did the trick.
I had to reinstall the Plex Media Server (a.o) after a faulty macOS update. I had not realised that “pinning to the sidebar” would influence the Home Tab. I merely noticed that Continue Watching was missing. I pinned several subfolders now and the section has joycefully returned.
