Hello,
I am running Plex Media Server 1.30.0.6486 on a Western Digital PR2100 NAS drive.
I have a Fire Tablet 10 (9th Gen) running Fire OS 7.3.2.6 and a Fire tablet 8 (10th Gen) for Kid running Fire OS 7.3.2.6. Both devices I can install the Plex app from the Amazon store. I can also download media to those devices for offline viewing with or without an additional micro SD card installed.
I have a Pixel 3 running Android 12 which I can download the Plex app from the Google Play store. I have OTG cables to add additional space for offline media.
I also have several 4K Firesticks running Fire OS 6.2.9.4. I can also download the Plex app from the Amazon store. Since Firesticks are known for not having much internal memory to spare I order the following adapters in order to add additional space via flash drive.
So on 2 android tablets and an android phone I can download my media while online then play it while offline.
I would like to download media onto the Firesticks (internal storage or add on storage via the adapters above) when on wifi then plug them into displays in my car and play movies for the kids on long trips when I don’t have wifi. I thought there might be a limitation with the Firestick/Fire OS but I was able to download the VLC player app on the firesticks and access the media on the attached flash drive just fine.
Plex developers please flip the bit that allows this…please!
