Can’t believe so simple feature is still not implementer… I miss this feature so much to be able to set the skip time to less than 30sec
It’s a pain to skip way ahead of movie or show 30 seconds and then rewind back 10 seconds.
30 seconds fast-forwarding is too much ahead and spoil something too early.

Amazon and other media servers have better and equal skips ahead and back. Usually it’s 15 seconds or 10 seconds ahead & back. I strongly recommend 10 seconds.
Please Plex devs, make this happen ASAP.

Hundreds of users, over 7+ years, asking for a feature that would be trivial to implement, and not have any negative effect on other users, and Plex still hasn’t even acknowledged it?
If Plex were open-source, someone probably would have coded this feature and submitted a pull request within a day of the original post.

I have seen episodes with 6 minutes of credits… But you are not sure if there is an after credit video or not. So, skipping 30 seconds each time might mean you will miss some content. Not skipping time at all might be very annoying. This is a deal breaker for many. And that is why we are requesting the ability to edit the time for skip (fast forward) and rewind among other reasons. I will never consider plex pass until something that obvious is added. I just cant.

please add a skip function
After using Media Player classic for nearly 25 years (with 5 sec skips), 30 sec is nearly unbearable. I use it to rewind and check something i just missed, and 30 sec is a huge leap.
I know it isn’t a core stability feature, but its such a huge QoL one.

I support that idea.
Another option to work on the feauture request would be this:
Automatically adjust the speed (until a fixed limit is reached, like 1 minute each) as long as your holding the “scroll” button on the remote?
Therefore:
- you just press once, 10 seconds get skipped (forwards or backwards)
- you hold and after a few moments you skip 20 seconds “per jump”
- you keep holding → 30 seconds per jump
- and so on

Bump. 10s is the same as rewind so it would be ideal. 30 is way too much. Dude 8 years??
Much needed feature, right now I use 1 forward ans two back so I’m iust 10 sec ahead but that can be annoying. I really want 5s skip
